Services

Function Creative can offer assistance to Designers and Design firms with anything from sample ordering, concept presentations, FF+E sourcing, to permit, tender and construction drawings through to contract administration/project coordination. Since completing my Diploma in Interior Design in 2009 I have worked on projects ranging from residential, senior living, quick service and full service restaurants to multi-residential, workplace and business + personal services projects. I love to collaborate with others and enjoy working on a wide variety of project types. Founding Function Creative Interior Design in 2020 allows me to do both, while providing senior level design expertise to the design community at large.

Project Planning

  • Estimating working hours for projects
  • Assisting with the writing of proposals
  • Reviewing project scope with clients
  • Budgeting discussions and review for project feasibility and to ensure client expectations are in line with budget
  • Completing site dimensions of existing sites

Design & Concept Work

  • Discussing client needs and desires to program their space
  • Developing design concepts, presentations and drawings
  • Presenting design concepts and project plans to clients
  • Incorporating client feedback

Design Development and Coordination

  • Sourcing finishes, furniture, fixtures and equipment
  • Developing working drawings including, permit, tender, construction, custom furniture, millwork and details
  • Generating specifications contained in drawings and/or specification manuals
  • Consultant coordination and drawing review
  • Effectively communicating project revisions or delays to all stake holders
  • Reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and answering RFI’s
  • Visiting sites to assess project status and review work
  • Deficiency reviews
  • Purchasing furniture and tracking purchases
  • Staging and overseeing furniture installations
